I 've got older players and they still work fine. I will never buy another one of it's kind. This player just stopped playing after about two years, I didn't use it that much for it to be woren out. I got this brand to match my new TV.
While purchasing DVD my obvious choice was to pick up a Samsung DVD player. image quality is lost.I get black n white(inspite of using HDMI cable)2.
I have great impression about Samsung LCD TV and equal hate for Samsung DVD player. The TV controls on the DVD remote don't work.
Picture either hangs or repeats itself in quick succession3. Will exchange this with a Sony dvd player at best buy.
I have Samsung 32" LCD TV. I regret that idea, each time you play a DVD one of the following happen1.
Annoyed to see so many problems.
Very unreliable -- wouldnt recommend buying a samsung DVD player. I used it sparingly over the next 12 months. Picture quality on my 32" Samsung LCD TV was great. Labor and parts warranty have expired, and it costs $80 to fix. Bought this product last thanksgiving (2008). Responds slowly to remote commands. Played DivX encoded movie just great, but then stopped playing my DVDs altogether.
Samsung clearly created this as a disposable product. Was always VERY slow and picky with disks. Broke 11 months after purchase. Disappointing to say the least.
great product, great price,I have found Samsung products to be excellant in functionality and cost. Harvey Bragg
